About TestIT and Software Assurance

Over ten years or so we've developed a new and innovative service offering, designed to add significant value for our customers - we call it "software assurance". It puts the needs of the organisation that are procuring bespoke systems first. We act as their Trusted Third Party (T3P).
The analogy would be that if you were buying a used car from a local garage, you'd get the RAC to come along and check out the mechanics. You wouldn't ever think of asking the mechanic who worked at that garage to do the inspection would you?
We represent the purchaser and get involved early on, making sure that a proper engineering approach is applied right throughout development - from capturing business requirements to verifying, diligently, on behalf of our customers that the delivered software is fit for purpose; and not by running tests that are designed to pass, but by pro-actively seeking out faults. All this is done using a flexible, agile, risk-driven, engineering, common sense approach that we've developed over many years. And we do all this under our ISO9001:2008 accreditation from the industry leader - Lloyds Register Quality Assurance

Since 2007 we've been working with the UK's Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and have helped them deliver a really important international project on-time and on-budget. You can read more in the "Case Studies" tab on this website.
