TestIT has many years experience in providing testing solutions in the demanding environment of software solutions for the high-volume cash processing, banking and financial services sector.

TestIT was engaged in a major project which involved independently testing a third party real-time control software application. The provided real-time control of banknote and coin processing machines which were configured within a complex and secure back-office network. The software provided full asset management controls and a comprehensive audit function.

TestIT has been involved from inception in the development of a cash centre database product which has for several years been successfully marketed to the Finance & Retail industry throughout Europe, Asia and the US. TestIT was tasked with independently verifying that software changes, designed to improve the product, did in fact meet the customer performance requirements and that no new defects were introduced. TestIT's customer was able to generate significant further sales of their product with this enhanced functionality.

TestIT's customer was considering the formation of a major business partnership with a Spanish software development organisation. TestIT was able to provide a detailed independent technical overview of the product and also an evaluation of the level of support and technical expertise provided by the organisation.
Key areas of the assessment included product installation, product tools, controlled software upgrades (using secure web downloads), engineering documentation, compatibility with defined hardware platforms and measurement of product performance and the organisation's use of configuration management discipline etc.
As a direct result of the Test Report provided by TestIT, our customer was able to make an informed decision and on this occasion decided that the third party product and organisation was not as mature and comprehensive as was hoped and decided not to pursue the venture. Consequently other products were considered - and developed - and TestIT's customer now finds itself in a much stronger market position..

TestIT continues to provide its services across a broad range of sophisticated cash handling and security projects. These typically involve the real-time control and management of complex networks running high-volume note counting devices used in many large European and American retail bank environments, in both front and back-office.
